What a fantastic day we had at Fort Lewis College! Our students dove into an immersive experience, packed with educational activities and opportunities to explore what college life is all about.

The day kicked off with an exciting tour of the biology department, where we got a behind-the-scenes look at the animal room. Students were fascinated by the range of species and the chance to see biology in action! This was followed by an insightful “A Day in the Life of an FLC Student” tour, giving our students a firsthand glimpse into college life—something that sparked curiosity and a sense of possibility for many.
Next up, a campus-wide scavenger hunt had everyone on their feet, working together and engaging with the campus in a fun and active way. It was the perfect way to get a feel for the grounds while bonding with each other.
The afternoon was filled with engaging presentations by professors that truly captured the students’ imaginations. We learned about the Pangolin, a fascinating and endangered animal, and discussed the early populations of Southern Africa. We also had the privilege of hearing about the impactful Zambia/FLC Village Aid Project, which shed light on the inspiring work being done to help communities abroad.
Thank you for your support in making this day a memorable and educational experience for our students!
