Destiny Babb

Hi! I'm Destiny! I am a National Board Certified Teacher in English Education. I taught traditional middle school English for 14 years and was an instructional coach for 3 years. I moved to Silverton in August 2023 because I fell in love with the San Juan Mountains and wanted to call Silverton and the beauty of what’s around us my home.

Silverton School is special because of the EL curriculum and that students are learning for a purpose. It's exciting to see them learn information and then apply it to projects and real world situations. I love seeing how much of a tight knit school community we have, even with the variety of ages.

When I’m not at the school, you can find me backpacking and hiking in the mountains, traveling to cities, reading books, and drinking tea. I also love writing and being a lifelong learner.
