Elizabeth Barszcz
Principal & Assistant Superintendent
Hi! I’m Elizabeth, though most of the students know me as Ms. B. For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of living and teaching in the beautiful town of Silverton, a place that captured my heart during my student teaching at Silverton School under the guidance of Kim White. That experience set the foundation for my love of this community, and I’ve never looked back.
After graduating from Ft. Lewis College with a teaching degree, I dove into a variety of teaching roles here in Silverton. Over the years, I’ve taught: Middle School English and Humanities, Elementary Math,
High School Health and Wellness, and so much more!
Nearly a decade ago, I began transitioning into an administrative leadership role. Today, I’m honored to serve as the principal of Silverton School, where I focus on supporting our students, families, and staff in this unique and close-knit learning environment. I’m a proud mom to two wonderful boys, Elliott and Lucas, who keep me on my toes. When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me exploring the great outdoors—hiking, skiing, or simply soaking in the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Being part of the Silverton community has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m deeply committed to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where every student can thrive. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your family’s educational journey!
