Christine Gober

Director of Culture & Climate

Hi! I’m Chris, and I’ve been part of the Silverton School family for over 20 years. Teaching and living in this incredible community has been a truly rewarding experience. Like many of my fellow teachers, I’ve had the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects, including math, health and wellness, and P.E. However, my true passion lies in leading our art program and guiding the Mind, Body Crew, where I work with all of our students to foster creativity, mindfulness, and connection.

Our small, mountain town and its unique school environment have a special place in my heart. I cherish the opportunity to help students express themselves in empathetic and respectful ways while learning to live, grow, and thrive together in this tight-knit community.

I’m also a proud parent of two Silverton School alumni, Ellie and Wren. They still love coming back to Silverton and enjoy spending time with our current students—a testament to the lasting impact of this incredible school and community.

In my free time, you’ll often find me: Skiing the beautiful mountains that surround us, Dancing (because life’s better with a little rhythm!), Creating art, my personal outlet for self-expression and inspiration

I feel so fortunate to be part of a school that nurtures not just academic growth but also emotional and social development. My goal is to help our students discover their voices, build connections, and develop a lifelong appreciation for creativity and community. 🎨✨
